Presidential Candidate Selection Enters New Stage

From Board of Trustees Chair Claire Meredith:

The Phillips Theological Seminary transition team has been busy reviewing the applications for the position of president. After the September Board of Trustees meeting and intercultural development training, the team met and selected six candidates for further consideration.

The trustees on the transition team have each taken one candidate and held a conference call with references. The rest of the team has been listening in to take notes.

The team will meet again Oct. 29 to decide which candidates to invite to Tulsa in mid-December for in-person interviews. We expect to make a formal announcement after the Board of Trustees meeting in February.
