Six Presidential Applicants Selected as Finalists

The Presidential Transition Committee has selected six applicants as semifinalists to be the next president of Phillips Theological Seminary. The names of the semifinalists will remain confidential.

“We are pleased with the quality and quantity of candidates interested in leading Phillips,” said Claire Meredith, chair of the Board of Trustees. “The number of impressive nominees and applicants for this position shows me that the seminary is highly respected as a graduate theological school.”

The transition committee is currently contacting the semifinalists and sending its appreciation to those who are not moving forward in the search.

“I was encouraged by the great response from our greater Phillips community to our request for nominations,” Meredith said. “I look forward to the committee’s engagement with the semifinalists and final selection of our next president.”
