Joe Bessler will discuss religion and politics at one of the Faith Matters sessions. Historically viewed as "taboo" topics particularly among politicians, Bessler focuses on how some politicians draw upon religious language to shape their speeches.

“Grace, Justice, Peace and Compassion – Here and Now” is the theme for the 2009 Ministers' Week conference sponsored by Phillips Theological Seminary (PTS). Slated for January 13-15, 2009, the conference will be held at the PTS campus, 901 N. Mingo Rd.; the Greenwood Cultural Center, 322 N. Greenwood Ave.; and Eastside Christian Church, 1438 S. Indianapolis Ave., in Tulsa, Okla.
