Phillips Library provides a broad range of online and print resources to our CMLT Students and Faculty, and our services are tailored to meet the research needs of everyone—those who live locally as well as distance learners. Below you will find information about accessing the catalog, databases, and ebooks, as well as a guide for new CMLT students.

As long as you are enrolled in the Center for Ministry and Lay Training Program, you have access to our guides for Phillips Students and the Writing and Research Lab. Once you have graduated or are no longer in the program, your library card will revert to “Special Borrower” status, which gives you For additional information on the resources available to special borrowers, check out our Library Resources for the Public page.

Accessing our Library Guides

All Phillips Students and Faculty library guides are available to CMLT Students and Faculty; however, they require logging in with your Single Sign-On credentials. If you haven’t already accessed one of the guides, clicking on a guide link will take you to the SSO login page. After signing in with your SSO credentials, it will automatically take you to the guide. Once you are logged in, you won’t need to sign in again unless you close your browser or are away from your computer for an extended period of time.

CMLT New Students

Our CMLT New Students guide provides new students with the tools needed for success in their ministry and lay training, such as detailed information on the 3 types of biblical commentaries, recommended commentaries, and how to use Atla’s Scripture Search feature.

The guide also includes instructions on how to log in to the Single Sign-On and set up your SSO password for the first time.

Online Resources for CMLT Students and Faculty

Our Online Resources for Students and Faculty guide provides more information on a collection of databases that the library subscribes to in order to provide all our students and faculty with high quality, online resources. These databases are indicated by a red lock icon () in the A-Z Database List and require signing in to the SSO to access.

Electronic Books

Phillips Library Ebook PlatformsThe Library has almost 2000 ebooks in our collection that you can access 24/7 from off-campus! Our ebook collection is comprised of books from 4 different providers – JSTOR, ProQuest, EBSCO, and Oxford University Press. The Electronic Books guide provides information on how to access our ebooks, and the different printing and downloading guidelines for each provider.

 

Interlibrary Loan

If the Phillips Library doesn’t have a resource (book, journal article, DVD, etc.) that you need, we will borrow the item from another library. You can use our ILL Request form to submit your Interlibrary Loan Request.

If you live outside of Tulsa, we will mail the items to you with no charge. Please allow sufficient time for us to receive and mail the items. When you finish using ILL materials, just drop them back in the mail to us. We will return them to the lending library.
