Seminary Chapel Services Focus on Creation Spirituality

Phillips Theological Seminary is pleased to welcome the Rev. Dr. Bill Crowell as he leads our community the week of Jan. 2 in an exploration of the four pathways of Creation Spirituality.

Crowell is the senior pastor at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla. He was in the inaugural doctoral class of Matthew Fox’s University of Creation Spirituality in 1997.

His chapel homilies are part of the DMin Fortnight and concentrated courses currently underway at Phillips Seminary.

Before his appointment as the senior pastor at St. Paul’s, Crowell served as an associate pastor at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. He has long been an active part of building the interfaith community in Oklahoma.

Crowell was the homilist for the Sept. 27, 2016 chapel service where he offered a reflection on creation spirituality. You can listen to his homily online.

Chapel services from Jan. 3-6 are at 8:30 a.m. in the Meinders Chapel on the Phillips Seminary campus, 901 N. Mingo Rd. in Tulsa.
