Phillips Welcomes the Association of Disciple Musicians to Oklahoma

Oklahoma City is hosting the 2018 conference of the Association of Disciple Musicians.

The July 15–18 conference at Oklahoma City University features nationally-known clinicians leading workshops on topics from conducting to designing contemporary worship.

  • To increase the effectiveness of church musicians, clergy, and laity as they engage in the mission of the church, especially the music and worship ministries of the local congregation.
  • To evaluate and improve the standard of music and its use within the total life of the church.
  • To promote fellowship and provide for the exchange of ideas.
  • To study the relationship of music to worship, education, and other aspects of church life.
  • To contribute to the development of a closer working relationship among musicians, clergy, and laity.
  • To sponsor a national workshop to give continuing educational opportunities to church musicians and staff persons engaged in music and worship ministries.
  • To support area chapters who seek to achieve these national objectives.
