Steve Cranford Memorial

The Rev. Dr. Stephen V. Cranford died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016. Dr. Cranford served as a trustee to Phillips Theological Seminary for many years, and was named trustee emeritus upon his retirement from the board in 2001.

Phillips President Gary Peluso-Verdend noted that, "Steve represented a passing breed in church life (and in the larger culture): a statesman, a public person with integrity, honesty, decency, who was trusted to broker deals between conflicting factions, whose loyalty transcended one group or another, who kept a mission in focus."

"Dr. Cranford's death is a loss to his family, his church, and this school," said Peluso-Verdend.

The seminary will host Dr. Cranford's memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. in the Meinders Chapel.

Phillips Theological Seminary is located at 901 N. Mingo Rd., Tulsa.
