Refusing the Hand of the Empire by Rosemary McCombs Maxey

This reflection is offered by the Reverend Rosemary McCombs Maxey. Maxey is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and is well known throughout the United Church of Christ. She has served on many national boards and committees and has been a leading voice and member of the UCC Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM). Maxey's insights and experiences are particularly helpful to those who wish to know more about and support Standing Rock. Her reflection is based on Micah 6: 8
