Prayer for a New Semester

PTS President Gary Peluso-Verdend offers this prayer as we begin a new semester.

PRAYER FOR A NEW SEMESTER

O Creator of snow and seeds and sunflowers,

Lord of life and death and resurrection,

Mother who nurtures and stretches and changes us:

Over the course of this semester that spans

Winter and spring,

Epiphany, Lent, and Easter,

Give me

Daily bread,

Daily energy,

Daily courage,

And daily grace;

In order that I might

Learn what you desire for me to know,

Love more perfectly the neighbors you’ve given me to love,

And that your Image might emerge more clearly in me,

As it was in Jesus.

Amen.

Gary Peluso-Verdend,

President of PTS
