Planned & Deferred Giving

Would you like to make a significant gift to Phillips Theological Seminary that would benefit you as well? With proper gift planning, you may be able to achieve your goal. Planning with an estate attorney, along with counsel that PTS and the Christian Church Foundation can provide, will ensure that accumulated assets benefit the causes dearest to you.

  • The largest gift we are capable of giving is often from an estate and can be designated in a will. If you don’t know the amount you would like to bequeath to Phillips Theological Seminary, a percentage of your estate is an easy way to make a determination.
  • Through a charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust, you or someone you designate can receive income for a specific period or for life, and the seminary would benefit as well.

If you include a gift for Phillips Theological Seminary in your will or trust, be sure to designate the gift for permanent endowment, either for student scholarships or for the general endowment if your intention is to make a gift in perpetuity. Otherwise the gift would be used for general annual operations. It is best if you could inform the seminary of your intentions.

At PTS, the Generation to Generation Society honors individuals whose planned gifts from their will, trusts, gift annuities, and other gift planning vehicles will benefit the seminary. A special event is held annually honoring G2G Donors.

PTS can assist you in setting up charitable remainder trusts or gift annuities through our partner, the Christian Church Foundation For some great planning tools, visit the CCF website.
