Back to Giving to Phillips
Answer the call and say YES to funding Student Scholarships & Support!
It's time again for our annual Phonathon. Every year, students, faculty, and staff spend two weeks calling Alumni and Donors asking them for their continued support through Phonathon. This year, there will be a new element added to the Phonathon - a Virtual Phonathon. From September 1-14 students will be asking for donations on-line. This allows the students to reach out to their family and friends to support Phillips, but donors are also welcome to donate during the Virtual Phonathon. September 15-25 will be when the classic Phonathon will take place.
Approximately 90 percent of Phillips students receive scholarships every year to help off-set the cost of their seminary education. Without generous gifts from supporters like yourself, the students would leave seminary with debt that can hinder their focus on ministry. In the last three years, 64 percent of Masters of Divinity students graduated from Phillips with no debt (compared to 37 percent of all Association of Theological School graduates). This ability to graduate debt-free is due in large part to generous donors that support the annual Phillips Phonathon.
Phillips students are extremely grateful for all the generosity of supporters and donors. In May, graduate Gina Woods shared her gratitude:
I just want to say thank you for donating to the scholarships for Phillips Theological Seminary. This has been a great experience, and I am thankful for all that I've learned and how I've grown. My goal is to spread the way of Jesus to those who need it; thank you for making that possible.
If you have any questions about the Phonathon, please contact Malisa Pierce, Annual Fund Program Director.
