Phillips Welcomes New Annual Fund Director

Malisa Pierce recently joined the PTS staff as Annual Fund Program Director. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Pierce is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. She joins PTS with over fifteen years’ experience in non-profit work, with ten focused in non-profit management.

Pierce began her career in the non-profit sector in the field of aging in Bartlesville, when she also began attending PTS. She has worked in the fields of domestic violence, aging and HIV prevention; gaining experience in management and fundraising along the way. Pierce graduated from PTS in May 2011 with a Masters in Divinity.

“I am elated to be able to bring lifetime experience, education, and passion into this job as Annual Fund Program Director for PTS. As a student PTS felt like home to me – a safe place to grow and learn – to be able to work at PTS is a dream come true and I am so excited about helping to ensure that PTS is accessible to students for generations to come.”

As the Annual Fund Program Director for PTS, Pierce will be working closely with the other members of the Stewardship Team to build new relationships with donors. She will also be organizing the annual Phonathon in mid-September to help raise funds for student scholarships and the annual fund. Pierce mentions, “When the phone rings in September ladies and gentlemen, answer and give generously.”
