Phillips Joins Schools for a Virtual Fair

Phillips Theological Seminary will join 48 schools for the Seminary and Theological Graduate School Virtual Fair from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The virtual fair will be like having a campus visit online, says Director of Recruitment Josh Linton.

“The community we have here feeds our ability to create community online,” he said. “If we have a comprehensive distance program, it makes sense to engage people where they are.”

Linton says the fair speaks to the ability of Phillips to meet the needs of students who need or want to attend seminary online. This is the first time Phillips has attended a virtual fair.

“I think the virtual fair is an opportunity for Phillips to show we can create meaningful and impactful conversation in an online space,” he said.

People who attend the fair will have direct access to several staff and faculty, including Judy Aaron, the Director of Admissions and Student Services; Dr. Nancy Pittman, the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean; and Dr. Gary Peluso-Verdend, the president of the seminary. Attendees will be able to chat about degree programs, community life, financial aid and other student services.

“Having people with diverse specialties will help us create an authentic sense of community,” he said. “It makes sense to show people who we really are.”

Registration for the fair is available at CareerEco.com
