Outstanding Contributions to Tulsa

Phillips Theological Seminary is being awarded a Dialogue Award from the Dialogue Institute of the Southwest—Tulsa for its outstanding contributions to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Dialogue Institute of the Southwest annually publicly recognizes outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations who have distinguished themselves in their profession and service to society by generously contributing their time, energy, expertise, and financial resources.

Other honorees for 2015 include the Tulsa Area United Way (Community Award) and Tulsa Police Detective, Julie Harris (Public Service Award).

The Tulsa area Annual Friendship Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 6 pm at the Double Tree at Warren Place in Tulsa. The keynote speaker at the event will be Becky Frank, Chairman and CEO of Schnake Turnbo Frank PR. She will speak on “Giving Back to the Community.”

The Dialogue Institute of the Southwest’s mission is to promote mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among people of diverse faiths and cultures by created opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences. They envision a society where every person views and treats each other with dignity, people come around shared values to promote the common good of their communities as well as the world as a whole. The Dialogue Institute has branch locations in Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
