Cultivating vital communities,
vital conversations, and the public good.

New Director of Admissions & Student Services
This past week I entered into, or should I say re-entered, the Phillips community in a new role as the Director of Admissions and Student Services. I once was a student at PTS learning through the efforts of faculty and staff; now I have the opportunity to contribute to the same learning environment for current students. I am excited!

I have 14 years of secular experience in health care management, while also serving 9 years as a part-time Local Pastor with the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church. My current appointment is with the Tulsa Indian United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On a more personal note, I reside in Morris, Oklahoma, with my three daughters, Megan, Amy, and Emily – three beautiful young women who have brought out the best in me. I am Native American, enrolled with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma; I am also Choctaw.

As a 2008 PTS graduate, I can avow to the significance the seminary experience has played in my position as a minister and even further, in my search for ways to take the experience of the PTS community into the congregation and community of my church. I seek goodness and vitality to be lived in the world today and to be cultivated within myself. Would you please join me on this journey here at Phillips so we might contribute to goodness in our community? I appreciate all of the warm wishes as I have come on board. I feel as if I have returned home, thank you so much! Peace be with you.
