Mid-Semester Prayer for Students

As students gear up for the second half of the semester, PTS President Gary Peluso-Verdend offers this prayer.

MID-SEMESTER PRAYER FOR STUDENTS

God, source of Energy, object of our Attention, and author of Life:

I look within. Do I find what I need to reach the finish line this semester, having run a quality race? I know what I need to do. Make a plan. Work a plan. Be disciplined. Take care of myself. But don’t let me get so caught up in working the plan that the plan functions like earthquake, wind, and fire did with Elijah—a lot of commotion but absent your presence.

Direct my eyes and ears here and there, focusing my attention on where abundant life is found. Maybe Spring. Or celebrating Easter. Or enjoying family and friends, food and fellowship. Maybe even my studies.

Season the plan with joy and life, and help me run well.

Amen.
