Phillips Theological Seminary will hold its 2015 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, 913 S. Boulder Ave. (downtown) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Rev. Dr. Dennis Smith, the LaDonna Kramer Meinders Professor of New Testament,  is the anticipated faculty speaker. Smith is retiring from the seminary effective June 30, 2015, after almost 30 years of service.

Phillips anticipates approximately 27 graduates this Spring (8 of whom graduated in December 2014). 13 graduands are expected to receive a  Master of Divinity degrees, one Master of Arts in Ministry and Culture, three Master of Theological Studies degrees, one graduate diploma in General Theological Studies and one in Biblical Languages, one certificate in Biblical Studies, four certificates in Interreligious Understanding, and one Doctor of Ministry degree.

The commencement ceremony will include senior reflections, a faculty reflection, student achievement awards recognition, presentations of honorary degrees, the hooding ceremony and the annual charge to the graduates from the dean. A reception will be held immediately after the ceremony for graduates and their families.
