Embracing All Creation

We praise Creator God, a God of many names, in this collect by PTS student Brad Thomison.

God of Many names

You breathe life into a bountiful diversity of creation

You are the air in which the birds fly

You are the water in which the fish swim

… the warmth of the Tulsa noontime sun

… the bright morning light reflecting off frozen glacier waters in Alaska

… the cool-blue glow of moonlight over Australian plains and Asian villages

… the red and orange streaks painting the sunset sky over Pakistan

… the mid-morning winds churning waves on wide open ocean waters

Reveal your self to us in the beauty of the world

Open our eyes to see your life-bringing love in every person

Remind us of our common heritage

Claimed in the sacred stories of our shared ancestors

So that we seek to love one another as you love us

Build and encourage instead of destroy and defeat

Focus on ways in which we are the same instead of dwelling on our differences

And seek forgiveness instead of revenge

Father, Mother, Great-Spirit, YHWH, Allah, Creator

You live in each of us,

And we are all your children

We lift our prayers in the name of all that is holy
