Disciples Seminarians Conference

The weekend of March 31-April 3, four students and two faculty traveled to Nashville, TN for the biennial Disciples Seminarians Conference.  Lilly Freeman, Ponca City, OK; Rebecca Haney, Rochester, MN; Dan Adolphson, Minneapolis, MN; and Tyler Whipkey, Joplin, MO were joined by professors Lisa Davison and John Imbler. Some 60 students from theological schools across the United States attended workshops, heard presentations, and got to visit with presidents and staff of the general ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), including Associate General Minister and Vice President Todd Adams and General Minister and President Sharon Watkins, both PTS alums.

Students led the daily worships highlighted by Tyler Whipkey preaching the closing service and Dan Adolphson singing the communion hymn. Wherever Disciples are, PTS provides leadership in a variety of ministerial capacities.

The included picture shows the group in the traditional seminary pose around the cenotaph at the Disciples of Christ Historical Society.
