Main Duties at PTS

  • Strengthen perceptions of the Seminary's brand.
  • Lead the communications staff.
  • Coordinate external relations activities with trustees and alums.
  • Represent Phillips with the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce.
  • Research related to academic program innovations and evaluations.

Background & Personal Interests

  • Joined Phillips in 2015.
  • Served as minister of communications at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in OKC before beginning his own media business, Discuss Communications, LLC.
  • Former news director at KGOU radio.
  • Former board member of the Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters and the national board for Public Radio News Directors, Inc.
  • Past president of the Oklahoma Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
  • Board member of Oklahoma Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
  • Member of the national Religion Communicators Council Board of Governors and co-chair of its Professional Education and Resources Committee.
  • Legislative Committee Chair for Mosaic, Tulsa Regional Chamber's diversity and inclusion organization.
