You have a deep hunger for intelligent faith. You believe that organized religion should not expect you to check your mind at the door. Friends, family, or maybe even your pastor have suggested you have a gift for theological thought and inquiry. But what does that mean? What do you do with those gifts?

Responding to God’s call to ministry doesn’t necessarily mean your entire life has to be turned upside-down. At Phillips Theological Seminary, we believe that there are as many ways to serve God and to live out the gospel as there are people in the world.

It’s our job to give you the tools you require to go deeper and do more with your faith.

Our Certificate in Graduate Theological Studies (CGTS) Program, is a popular 18 semester-hour program primarily designed for people who:

• aren’t in a seminary degree program but want to develop skills for putting their Christian faith into practice; or
• are considering an advanced seminary degree, knowing that all courses taken for credit may be subsequently applied to a PTS degree program.

In addition, persons who already hold a master’s level degree in religious studies or theology but wish to engage in a focused program of continuing education may petition for advanced standing and appropriate course substitutions.
